Search for a GEO or "AI SEO" plugin on WordPress.org and you will find a dozen that promise to get your site into ChatGPT. They do not all do the same job. Some prepare your pages for AI crawlers, some count the bots that visit, and very few check what the assistants actually answer. This comparison sorts them by job, says what each one does according to its own WordPress.org page (30 October 2026), and says honestly where Amaso AI fits and where it does not.

## The short answer

- **You want to know whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name your business, and who they name instead:** Amaso AI. It asks the assistants your customers' questions and shows the answers.
- **You want to see which AI bots crawl your site:** VigIA (more than 60 crawlers, alerts by e-mail) or LovedByAI.
- **You want a Markdown copy of each page and an llms.txt file next to your SEO plugin:** RankReady, VigIA or Native AEO Pack.
- **You want one light plugin to replace your SEO plugin as well:** Native AEO Pack ("Visibility").
- **You only want an llms.txt file:** Website LLMs.txt.

None of them can promise that an assistant will cite you. RankReady says it plainly on its page, and we agree: a plugin removes the reasons an assistant would skip your pages; whether it then names you depends on your content and on what other sites say about you.

## Three jobs, not one

**1. Make pages easy to read for AI.** Structured data (JSON-LD), an llms.txt file, a clean Markdown version of each page, robots.txt rules for AI crawlers. This is where most GEO plugins work.

**2. Watch the crawlers.** Which bots (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot…) request which pages, and which ones your host or firewall blocks.

**3. Measure the answers.** Ask the assistants the questions your customers type, with live web search, and record whether your business is named, where, and which sites they rely on instead. This is the result a business owner cares about, and it is the job Amaso AI was built for.

## The plugins, one by one

| Plugin | Main job | Notable features (from its WordPress.org page) | Active installs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Amaso AI | Measure the answers | Checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity for your searches; who they name instead and the sites they consulted; free checks without an AI key; content audit and GEO score per page; JSON-LD, llms.txt, crawler and AI referral records | New (2026) |
| RankReady | Prepare pages | llms.txt, Markdown endpoints, FAQ schema, AI crawler controls, WebMCP; defers to your SEO plugin's schema; Pro version | 500+ |
| VigIA | Watch the crawlers | 60+ AI crawlers tracked, blocking, robots.txt manager, e-mail alerts, 100-point analyzer, llms.txt, Markdown endpoints | 2,000+ |
| Native AEO Pack | Light SEO plugin | Meta tags, canonical URLs, schema, sitemap control, redirects, llms.txt and Markdown; imports from Yoast, Rank Math and others; no Pro version | 600+ |
| LovedByAI | Prepare pages, with AI rewrites | AI-ready version of each page, FAQs, headings rewritten as questions, approve or undo each change, crawler and AI referral tracking; connects to its own service | 1,000+ |
| Website LLMs.txt | llms.txt only | Generates and updates llms.txt | 50,000+ |

## What Amaso AI does not do (yet)

- It does not replace Yoast SEO, Rank Math or AIOSEO: keep your SEO plugin for titles, sitemaps and Google's blue links.
- It does not count every AI crawler the way VigIA does; it records the crawlers that decide whether assistants show your site, and the visitors they send you.
- A Markdown copy of each page arrived in Amaso AI 1.3.0 (30 October 2026); if another plugin already serves one, keep only one of them.

## Can I use two of them?

Yes, with one rule: only one plugin should print structured data and llms.txt. If you keep a crawler tracker or a page-preparation plugin, switch off the same features in Amaso AI (Settings > Modules) and use Amaso AI for what the others do not do: checking the answers.

## Try it on your own site first

Before installing anything, run the [free AI visibility check](/ai-check/): type your website and a question a customer would ask, and see in about a minute whether an AI assistant names you. Then install [Amaso AI from WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/plugins/amaso/) to follow your searches every week.
