These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Amaso ("Amaso," "we," "us," "our"), including the Amaso Pro plugin, the Amaso Lite plugin, the Amaso License Manager, and the amasoai.com website (together, the "Service"), operated by Fosia Ltd ("Fosia," "Company").

By installing, activating, or using Amaso, or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Amaso is developed and operated by Fosia Ltd, a company registered in Rwanda 122245701, with its registered office in Kigali, Rwanda 1 KN 78 St Norrsken House Kigali. You can reach us at support@amasoai.com.

2. The Service

Amaso is a WordPress plugin that helps businesses understand and improve how they are found by search engines and AI systems (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and similar). It is offered in two editions:

- **Amaso Lite** — free, distributed through WordPress.org, with no account or license key required.
- **Amaso Pro** — a paid extension, licensed through the Amaso License Manager, unlocking AI citation checks, Share of Voice, GEO Autopilot, scheduled reports, and related features described on amasoai.com.

Amaso runs on servers you control (your own WordPress hosting). We do not host your website or your content.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and have the authority to bind the business you represent, to purchase or use a paid plan. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering a license, and for keeping your license key and account credentials confidential.

4. Subscription Plans, Pricing and Billing

4.1 Plans. Current plans, features, and limits (tracked keywords, sites, citation checks, and similar) are published at [amasoai.com/pricing](https://amasoai.com/pricing/) and may change from time to time. The plan and limits that apply to you are those in effect at the time of your purchase or renewal, unless we tell you otherwise.

4.2 Billing and payment methods. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance. We accept payment by card via Stripe, and by mobile money (MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and other supported providers across African markets) via FosiaPay, our mobile money payment method powered by PawaPay. Prices may be shown in USD or in local currency (for example XAF) for convenience; the amount actually charged is determined by the payment method you choose and may include currency conversion or processing fees outside our control.

4.3 Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Free plan. The Free plan is provided at no cost, subject to the limits published on the pricing page, and may be changed or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.

4.5 Refunds. You may request a full refund within 7 days of being charged for a paid plan (whether an initial purchase or a renewal), by contacting support@amasoai.com. Refund requests made after 7 days are considered at our discretion.

5. Your Own AI Provider Keys (Bring Your Own Key)

Amaso's AI-powered features (citation checks, keyword suggestions, content assistance) require you to connect your own API key from a supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Google/Gemini, Perplexity, or others we may add). This means:

- You contract directly with that provider, under that provider's own terms, pricing, and usage limits.
- Amaso does not charge, mark up, or take a share of your AI provider costs.
- You are solely responsible for the charges your provider bills you, and for keeping your own usage within limits you are comfortable with.
- Amaso stores your API key encrypted, on your own WordPress site's database, for the sole purpose of making the requests you configure or trigger.

6. No Guarantee of Results

Amaso reports on signals believed to correlate with visibility in search engines and AI systems, and provides tools to improve them. We do not, and cannot, guarantee that any AI system will cite, recommend, or rank your business, that your search ranking will improve, or that any specific outcome will occur. No one can make that guarantee truthfully, AI systems and search engines are operated by third parties, using methods we do not control and that change over time. Scores, checklists and citation checks in Amaso are heuristic indicators, not proof of citation or a promise of results.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any law; infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer (beyond what applicable law permits), or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data; resell, sublicense, or share your license key with sites or businesses not covered by your plan; or use the Service to generate or publish deliberately misleading content about your business.

8. Intellectual Property

Amaso, its code, design, and documentation are owned by Fosia Ltd or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. Amaso Lite is distributed under the GPLv2 (or later) license, consistent with WordPress.org's plugin directory requirements; nothing in these Terms restricts rights you already have under that license for the Lite edition's own code. You retain all rights to your own website content, business data, and any content you create using Amaso's tools.

9. Your Content and Data

9.1 What we store. Amaso Pro's license server stores: your license registration (site URL, site name, WordPress/PHP version), your plan and billing information (processed by Stripe or FosiaPay/PawaPay), and, only if you enable optional features, aggregated usage data needed to enforce plan limits. Your business profile, tracked keywords, citation results, schema data, and AI provider keys are stored in **your own WordPress database**, on your own hosting — Fosia does not hold a copy of them unless you explicitly submit a support request that includes them.

9.2 Your rights. You can export or request deletion of the personal data associated with your license at any time by contacting support@amasoai.com, or, for site-level plugin data, directly from your WordPress admin (Tools → Export/Erase Personal Data, and Amaso → Settings → Data Management). Uninstalling the plugin does not delete your data unless you explicitly enable "Remove all data on uninstall" in Settings.

9.3 Third-party services. Depending on the features you enable, Amaso may send limited data to third-party services on your behalf: your configured AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity), Google Search Console and Google Autocomplete (when you connect or use those features), and IndexNow (only if you opt in). Each of these operates under its own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. Full details of what is sent to each service are documented in the plugin's readme ("External services").

10. Updates and Availability

We may release updates to Amaso Pro to fix bugs, add features, or address security issues. Update packages are cryptographically verified (SHA-256) before installation. We do not guarantee the Service will be available without interruption, and we may suspend access for maintenance, to address abuse, or for reasons beyond our control (including third-party outages affecting AI providers, Google, or your hosting provider).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including non-payment, abuse of the Service, or fraudulent use, with notice where reasonably possible. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time as described in Section 4.3.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fosia disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Fosia's total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Fosia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, including any arising from AI provider costs, third-party service outages, or search/AI ranking changes.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days will be submitted to arbitration at the Kigali International Arbitration Centre (KIAC) under its arbitration rules, seated in Kigali, Rwanda. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief before the competent courts of Kigali, Rwanda.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers (for example, by email or an in-plugin notice) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
